La Trinidad

La Trinidad, the capital municipality of the province of Benguet, is comprised of 16 barangays with a total land area of 8, 273.80 hectares. With its mountainous terrain, it accommodates four mini-hydro power plants in Bineng.

Bineng welcomed two plants in 1990 with a total installed capacity of 3.1 megawatts. In 1992, a 3-megawatt and 750-kilowatt hydro power plants were installed.

Sablan

Sablan, with its 91.68 sq.km land area, and relies on agriculture as its main source of income. Sablan has eight barangays with a population of 10, 890 (As of August 1, 2007).

In the rural area of Banengbeng, a 4-megawatt Ampohaw hydro was built in 1990. The mini-hydro is harnessed to Sablan river and Balili river.

Sablan is generally mountainous, with the mountains rolling at the side to its base where vales and valleys are found. The valley has been transformed into rice paddies as well as the mountain sides, with the steeper sides of the mountains utilized as grazing grounds and as upland farms for the production of fruits, root crops and tiger grass or "boyboy" for making brooms.

Tuba

Tuba is a 13-barangay municipality with 434.278 square-kilometers land area and is believed to one of the oldest original towns in the Cordillera.

Hedcor became a part of the Tuba community when in 1986, Hedcor was awarded a 22-year contract to operate the 60-year-old Asin mini-hydros and constructed the 1.2-megawatt Irisan power plant in 1990.

Bakun

Bakun is a 306.79-square kilometer town, politically subdivided into 7 barangays. The rural municipality is 336 km from Manila and 86 km away from Baguio City. An agricultural community, majority of its land is utilized for growing temperate crops.

Bakun is an agricultural community. Majority of its land area is devoted to agricultural activities.

Bakun is home to three hydropower plants, in Lower Labay that has a capacity of 2 megawatts; Ferdinand L. Singit (FLS) plant with 5-megawatt capacity. Both were constructed in 1990. The third is the 3.6-megawatt plant in Lon-oy, that was built in 1992. These companies have boosted the economy of the municipality since the start of operations.

Davao City

Davao City is a sprawling metropolis of over a million people located in the Southeastern part of Mindanao. It is one of the largest cities in the world with a land area of 2,443.61 square kilometers.

Davao City is home to the five plants in Talomo with a total installed capacity of 4.5MW, supplying clean and renewable energy to Davao Light and Power Corporation.

The four Lower Talomo plants, built and owned by the National Power Corporation in the 1950's, were the first plants operated by Hedcor in 1972. In 1991, the Upper Talomo plant was built. These plants were turned over to Hedcor in 2005 through a winning bid with the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management.

Davao del Sur

Davao del Sur, subdivided into 14 municipalities and one city, is located adjacent to Davao City. It is home to the municipality of Sta. Cruz where the 42.5MW Sibulan Hydropower Project is currently being constructed in Sibulan barangay.
