The 680-meter pentock of the Sabangan Hydropower plant is in the second month of construction. Skilled locals are working on the structure which will be finish early next year. The penstock is a pressurized pipe which delivers water to the powerhouse. The pressure of the water propels the turbine to generate electricity. The water then gets back to the river flow in a much cleaner state.
