Power firm advances education through 150K-worth of financial assistance

Coupled with eagerness and diligence, a learner will grow to his fullest  potential when given the right opportunity and assistance

Recognizing its vital role in being the students’ ladder step toward achieving their dreams, Hedcor offers financial assistance to 20 senior high school (SHS) students in Benguet and Mt. Province.

We can’t thank you enough for all your help. Hedcor is the only company we know that has been helping our school. You are such a blessing to our school and to all our students,” Mildred Sepulchre, Principal of Sablan National High School shared. 

Senior high students from the said school are one of the chosen recipients of the financial assistance totalling to P150,000. Other recipients include students from Ampucao National High School, Benguet National High School, Pingad National High School and Sabangan National High School.

This financial aid of Hedcor is assisting students in realizing their dreams and in reaching their fullest potential to become a contributing member of society,” shared by Romeo Catingub, Hedcor’s Community Relations Supervisor. Catingub further emphasized that in fulfilling Hedcor’s promise of Advancing Business and Communities, one must fully support the youth in their education.

Hedcor has always dedicated its efforts to education-based initiatives. Aside from the financial aid to SHS, Hedcor grants scholarships to college students.  Another is the donation of school supplies, books, computer units and school buildings to its host schools. Furthermore, Hedcor extends its initiatives to educators through academic and technical-vocational trainings held annually.

 

Hedcor, a run-of-river hydropower arm of AboitizPower, operates 21 plants across the country with a total generating capacity of 258.4 MW of clean and renewable energy.
